Casa Lotus
Casa Lotus is not a listing. It is a singular residential work — seven years in the making, shaped by time, discipline, and belief. Conceived by Miró Rivera Architects, recipients of the Texas Medal of the Arts. Built in Roman brick sourced from one of the few American manufacturers still producing the format favored by Frank Lloyd Wright. Set on 3.36 acres along Lake Austin. Seven bedrooms. Ten baths. A circular oculus at the heart of the atrium. And the only private residential commission of French artist JR — whose Eyes transform the lakeside pavilion into a work of international significance. Price upon request. A property this rare required something no MLS could provide.
A residence seven years in the making, with a JR commission as its centerpiece, cannot be reduced to a data sheet. It cannot live in a brokerage carousel. It needed a site that understood what it was — not a property for sale but a work being entrusted. We built a digital exhibition. Six chapters: The Provenance, The Commission, The Estate, The Pavilion and Guest House, The Grounds, and The Details. Two ten-image galleries presented as numbered plates. A dedicated section for the JR pavilion with its own essay and photography. The inquiry section ends with a single line: “Some works are not sold. They are entrusted.” Price upon request. By private appointment only. This is the most important site we have built.
